Our separation took place a while ago after a turbulent relationship and an even more contentious custody battle. It was an exhausting process, but things have significantly improved since then. The children's mother visits us once or twice a week and occasionally chats with the kids over the phone. We've moved past our differences and developed a friendship. Since then, we haven't had any major disagreements or fight.
