My youngest daughter (7y.o.) still doesn't have a smartphone as she is too young for one. During the holidays, her friends come over without any prior notification through SMS, Messenger, WhatsApp, or other apps.
They simply ring the doorbell when they decide to play, and my daughter does the same when she wants to meet her friends.
It's quite unusual in our times where everyone relies on phone confirmation. My daughter is experiencing a unique and casual way of connecting with her friends, even though she might not fully grasp the beauty of it now.
These moments are precious, and she may cherish them in the future.
